Obtaining a healthy weight and lifestyle is nothing short of a lifelong journey.  It is imperative to understand the present state of your body internally, before you will be able to maintain a weight that externally feels good to you.  Many people try the latest and greatest “quick fix” to lose weight only to gain it back and then some.

Balance For Wellness provides tools to help an individual determine their present state of “internal” health.  As these tools are utilized by a client, information is obtained to help guide an individual in making proper choices to regain a state of improved “internal” health with the ultimate goal of learning to live a healthy lifestyle.

Initial Measurments/Assessment Session with a Personal Trainer

  • VO2 Max on Treadmill - Measures lung capacity
  • Arm, waist, hip and weight measurement
       "Waist size = heart health"
  • Heart rate and blood pressure check

8 Personal Training Sessions

  • Cardio exercise
  • Kinesis weight training
  • BOSU ball and stability ball exercises

Kinesis Classes and Open Gym x 2 months

  • Kinesis classes led by a trainer - 30 min. classes
  • Open Gym - exercise at Balance For Wellness during hours of operation

Follow-up Measurements/Assessment

  • 1 hour follow-up with Dr. Lorri
  • Follow-up measurements
  • Follow-up/reset personal goals



Our own Dr. Lorri A. Lankiewicz struggled with excess weight as a child and into her 20's.  She made a conscious decision in her late 20's to make key changes in life that culminated in a 50+ lb. weight loss that has been maintained for numerouse years.  Dr. Lorri believes that an individual must realize that changes need to be made in the mind (making different choices/shifting current paradigms and reading information that educations on healthy living), the body (exercising on a consistent basis and feeding the body with the proper fuel) and in the spirit (knowing that the body was given to each of us as a temple and that it is up to us to maintain the integrity of that temple in order to achieve what we have been put on earth to do).
