Move the Furniture

The sun is finally shining in Western PA ....yippee!  I hope that you are all feeling and enjoying the warmth again.  We all were asking, praying and begging for these days to come upon us.  Life somehow feels fuller with days of longer light and sun rays beating upon us.  We were definitely "pushing" for the rain to stop and were willing to help Mother Nature in any way possible to lift the "burden" of yucky weather.  However, as we all know, the rain showers bring beautiful flowers and green grass.  Such is life, we do not want to walk through the rain, even though we know that there just may be a rainbow waiting for us through the journey.  We want to help God answer our prayers and are willing to bargain, plead and make concessions, rather than waiting for perfect timing and allowing God to ......

Move the Furniture

We often attempt to assist God and the flow of the universe in "moving the furniture" of our lives.  That is right, we try to help God to form our journey, make events happen and answer our prayers, all in "our" time!
Can you just see it?  God smiling and maybe even enjoying a hearty chuckle as we ask,"but wouldn't the chair look just fine over there"?   And God answers, "it may look fine, however, if you want it to be placed exactly where it is supposed to be, then just wait for me...I will show you in time!"

But we do not wish to wait.  We are a culture of individuals who live in the here and now.  So many times we have pushed and even received "right now" as we took matters into our own hands, only to find that we had to "move the furniture again".  Sadly, we may have moved that furniture three, four, maybe five more times and are still not willing to wait for divine intervention.

So why not wait?   Wait for God and the energy of the Spirit to place that furniture where it will provide the most comfort, in a spot full of light and providing warmth like never felt before.

Have you ever fully surrendered in belief that God is the ultimate interior decorator? How does the "space" in your life look and feel?

I understand that He gives free consultations : )
