How May I Serve?  

Asking to serve is an ego filter....an allowance of the soul to shine at a brighter level
which helps to provide wings to the spirit.

When we are hurting emotionally/spiritually/soulfully and seem to be stuck inside of our misery, asking to serve can lead us through the dark tunnel to the light. This does not mean that the pain we are feeling is not real or we do not deserve to feel sad about whatever the situation may be. However, providing service can give strength to begin to move through the pain and lift our spirits.
When we are feeling happy and fulfilled, asking to serve can continue to boost the
endorphins and allow us to share our gifts and blessings.

There is magic in serving. A message is sent to the heavens as someone receives
the service and at some point in life, we may receive an action of service without even
asking. This relates to the "pay it forward" concept and although we did not set out
to receive because we gave, the universe notices and returns the favor. The circle of
giving and receiving is quite intriguing and as we decide to join the circle we realize that
service and giving provides a sense of fulfillment, happiness and peace that outweighs
receiving. However, we also begin to feel greater measures of gratitude when
receiving.
