Being Thankful
Oh, the power in being thankful!
Learning to say "thank-you" at any given moment of feeling gratitude can lend a million miles towards harvesting healthy relationships. These words, spoken with sincerity, allow others to realize that what they did or gave truly had meaning.
We attempt to teach children at an early age to say "thank-you" and they will often mimic or repeat these words at the prompting of an elder. At some point in time, they may state "thank-you" without prompting simply because they feel it or know that it is a nice thing to say when receiving.
As adults, saying "thank-you" when receiving seems to be a simple gesture and obviously conveys gratitude. However, how many say "thank-you" prior to receiving?
This concept of feeling gratitude prior to the arrival of what is being requested is a new concept to most and initially, does not make sense. However, this relays an immense amount of faith to God and the universe that says that we believe that what we need is already on the way.
Please realize, we may not always receive what we truly want, but we will come to understand and accept what is the highest and best for us!
Try it!
Practice faith and be grateful for every blessing, in every package and in every color and teach the world the power of true gratitude.
