Being Humble
Self praise, when spoken outwardly and consistently is quite honestly a "turn off"! Anyone who decides to "see through" the self patting on the back of another realizes that a self praising person lacks something inside.
Typically, the person with low self esteem or narcissistic tendencies will feel a need to blow air into their own bubble.
We can all learn from these tendencies as we notice that self praise overshadows whatever "good" has been done!
We can realize that accomplishments, good deeds and other accolades will be presented to the "public" in due time, if necessary. We may be asked to share our successes to assist a cause or simply for the greater good.
And if these presentations do not occur, we can still hold an internal knowing of fulfillment that may or may not be shared in more intimate conversations.
Take heed! Make sure that sharing about the self is kept in balance with listening to others and about others and know that self praise does not always = self worth!
"Being Humble" allows the Holy Spirit to shine light where necessary!

May you receive blessings that you are able to multiply and share with the world : )
